Scalina is my gift to my mother for her cancer’s treatment, after long months of figth against illness it was time to think about something more fun and sweet than hospitals, drugs and stress. My mum falled in love with a picture of Scalina at first sight and while I chose Alika for me I added Scalina to the shopping bag !

Scalina is a true clown, she does observe everything at the farm, is very curious and the best friend of Alika of course. Her rich dark bay color with her great type and perfect body makes of Scalina a lovely addition to our farm.

Scalina’s sire is Javier el Jamaal, now exported to Middle East there are only a few of his daughters left in Europe. Javier is by Ali Jamaal who does not need any introduction and out of Juliet el Ludjin a bay daughter of Ludjin el Jamaal , the full blood sister of Jullye el Ludjin, so that Javier is a full blood brother of Jullyen el Jamaal. Javier produced fabulous bodies with strong toplines, beautiful shoulders, super necks and big movements.

Javier’s daughters are considered as very promising broodmare, one of them is still at La Movida, this is Lolah el Javier, Perlaan’s full sister is owned by my friend Justine Bassindale in UK , several other great breeders in Europe have bred lovely Javier offspring... I have to say I can’t wait to see Scali’s first babies. But for the moment no hurry; Scali is very playfull and loves to run and play with Alika and the others in the pastures !

Scalina’s dam is the gorgeous Ali Jamaal daughter Scala el Jamaal. This beautiful mare won several top prizes in the show ring being the All Nations Cup reserve junior champion in 1997. Scala’s sire is my all time favorite with Bey Shah, Khemosabi and Menes which explains why I use that line so much. Scala’s dam is SS Marietta a lovely bay daughter of the straight Egyptian Dalul by Morafic, Dalul was know to give super movement and it is not exception.  Marietta’s dam line is mainly polish. Her dam is Silveretta by the genetic giant Bask , her own dam Silveresque is also a daughter of Bask.

Bask was a true legend and is in almost all the pedigree of the American domestic bred Arabian horses. He was National champion in halter and in performance and bred a HUGE number of foals , his daughters have been among the best producers of America and are respected worldwide. 

Scala el Jamaal is also a great broodmare, she foaled some lovely horses exported in the whole Europe , you can find her offspring in Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and France ! great broodmares are appreciated from breeders as they know their offspring have more chance to be also good producers. Among those offspring we can name Sarah el Bey by Bey El Jamaal who was many times international champion mare, Sayonara el Bri also show winner, Samira el Bri broodmare at stud for Marietta Salas in Spain.

Scalina does have 3 lines to Ali Jamaal and it shows! She is exactly the picture you can have in mind when think about this great stallion. Ultra expressive head, luxurious black mane and tail, long and upright neck and extreme intelligence. I truly admire the Jamaal horses for their character, they are proud and honest, very intelligent and quick to learn. They are true personalities and that’s very interesting to work with them.
