LA Zaharra (GB)
LA Zaharra (GB)
(JD Chalice x Kar Zumba by CH El Brillo)
2008 Bay Mare

Zaharra is the latest addition to our farm, she arrived in 2010. She was born in UK in 2008 and is incredibly sweet and fun to be around !
Zaharra was bought from Lewmack Arabians and she was chosen due to her fabulous pedigree and super look.
Her sire is JD Chalice a well known stallion in Europe for being the sire of several excellent show horses, always with a lot of type, big movement , big eyes and super necks.

Chalice is a son of one of the best Ali Jamaal descendants, Ludjin el Jamaal out of a daughter of El Shaklan
Ludjin related mares are known worldwide to be outstanding producers and if you look into the pedigree of some of most famous show horses of our days you’ll see his name quite regularly !
Ludjin is very beautiful and known for his incredible Arabian type.
JD Chalice has inherited this type along with the super attitude from his dam JD Splendor a daughter of CWP Chances Are a very pretty grey son of the genetic giant Bey Shah !

Zaharra’s dam is also one of the reasons who decided me to purchase her. Kar Zumba, bred in Germany is a direct daughter of the famous El Shaklan son , CH El Brillo, chief sire at La Movida Arabians , in Austria, a farm that I particularly admire and have already found there some stunning individuals such as Alika el Than, or Scalina el Javier. However we did not get yet the blood of Brillo in our breeding shed.

Zaharra’s grand dam is a straight Spanish mare, daughter of the world famous Spanish stallion El Perfecto, and when you look at Zaharra she can’t hide her pedigree ! Her unbelievable neck is the heritage of both Ali Jamaal and El Perfecto and it shows , she’s very Spanish looking with her big eyes and her movement is just out of this world.

Zaharra was trained and shown by Janine Mac Gregor and got some nice results as a yearling.
I have to say I’m very excited with the idea to breed her to Sandstorm in 2011 , it should be a phenomenal cross as Sandy always produced super foals with the Jamaal related mares and the Spanish line of Zaharra should be interesting due to the Spanish heritage of Sandstorm through Sidi Brahim.
Additionnaly to all those points Zaharra is just a dream to be around, so sweet and caring, she loves attention and you can hug her all day long !!
I really enjoy her personality and even if she’s not with us for a long time we all love her very much !
