Alika el Than (AT)

The above picture perfectly illustrate Alika, she’s full of fire and energy, she moves all the time with her tail flipped on her back, she is snorting and blowing and she is also one of the most adorable young Arabian mare I have ever met.
Alika entered my life in 2007 as a yearling. Bred by the famous stud La Movida Arabians ( www.lamovida.at ) in Austria she is a daughter of the young Ludjin el Jamaal son , Jonathan el Ludjin. Ludjin is considered as one of the best sons of Ali Jamaal, he’s out of the El Shaklan mare Lydira el Shaklan and she does have some Spanish lines through her dam Lydia who is nothing less than a daughter of the world champion mare Hezina by Jacio . Hezina is well known as the dam of El Namib Spanish National champion and of Diandra who is three times National champion of Spain. Ludjin el Jamaal is a tall grey stallion with extreme type and incredible refinement. He produced himself fabulous progeny such as JD Chalice, Lara el Ludjin, Aryes el Ludjin , ZT Ludjkalba dam of Abha Myra and many more. Maybe his most well known daughter is Jullye el Ludjin, one of the most beautiful mares in the world ever and dam of the world famous Jullyen el Jamaal.

I did not see Alika before buying her, I had full confidence into her breeding and seems it was not a mistake! If Alika’s sire is outstanding by his father he’s also by his dam as he is a direct son of the great Bey Shah daughter NV Justadream. Bey Shah being a very important part of our breeding program it was more than interesting to bring his blood one more time through this fabulous mare who produced only the very best with Ali Jamaal and his sons.

 

As you know sires are important but dams are even more important and Alika’s dam is pure perfection. Beauty, type, pedigree and an incredible producer. Her name is LM Alisha. She’s a white daughter of the great Bey Shah son CWP Chances Are who produces so many great mares and producers in USA. I always loved that grey son of Bey Shah and dreamt for year to incorporate his blood in my broodmare band. I think I can say Alisha is one of his most incredible daughters. Alisha’s dam is an Ali Jamaal daughter : Alisheeba who is a fabulous broodmare being the dam of the extremely exotic Ancholy Ali who is an Icon in Europe and a international champion mare, Alisheeba also produced Abha Madhi by Marwan Al Shaqab, one of the rising stars of Ses Planes in Spain, he’s already a multiple champion stallion and a very promising sire. Alisheeba was bred in the USA and was out of Mohntika who brings the second Spanish lines to Alika. Mohntika’s sire is the famous An Malik, National champion of Spain and then exported to USA where he produced beauties such as El Tabal, Top Contender, LH Garcia, An Magno or the beautiful Malika Estopa dam of the late Espano Estopa.

Monhtika’s dam line is straight Egyptian, she is out of Mohsseyn a daughter of Mohssen by Ansata Ibn Halima and out of the lovely Motaj by the legendary Morafic.

Alika impresses us each new day by her fabulous conformation and great charisma. She shows outstanding movement and I am sure she’ll make a fabulous riding horse, we , of course, have great hopes for her as a broodmare. Her dam has produced super stars like Alishaar el Bri, chief sire at Murana Arabians in Germany and his offspring have great success. Another offspring is Adrian el Bri who got a first premium at the stallion licence in Belgium , the mare Anggun el Bri also out of Alisha is owned by Silverdale Arabians in England.
